The Credentials
Hi! I’m Greta. I’m originally from Lithuania but I grew up in north Florida with my three siblings. My parents are both MD’s; my dad practices as an Internal Medicine Physician - so you could say medicine runs in the family.
I completed my Bachelor’s degree in Music and Liberal Arts at Florida State University while staying close to my family whom I love dearly! When I was younger, I thought I wanted to be a doctor like my dad, but realized - as an artist - I needed a tangible way to see the work I was doing and the life of a female surgeon was not appealing to me at the time. A series of decisions and hard conversations later, I found myself nestled into the creative world of dentistry.
I finished in the top 20 of my dental school class at the University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2019 in a class of 97 wonderful people. Upon graduation, I was awarded the Outstanding Performance in Prosthodontics Award, as well as the Clinical and Professional Excellence Award. I also was nominated by professors for and received the Dr. J. Frank Collins Professionalism Award (this is a really special award given to a doctor who exudes the personality and care of Dr. Collins who was highly loved and revered for many years for his clinical prowess). As a reader- the part where my mentor at the time, Dr. Nimmo (who was president of the American College of Prosthodontics for several years), Dr. Dilbone (the head of our Restorative department at UFCD) and Dr. Delgado (one of the most incredible masters of operative dentistry that I’ve had the chance to meet) encouraged me to pursue the complicated field of prosthodontics, a specialty where technical understanding and communication are key factors in long transformative patient journeys.
And that’s how I found myself in California! After three grueling years at the world-renowned 3-year Advanced Graduate Prosthodontics Program at UCLA College of Dentistry, Los Angeles, completing full mouth rehabilitations using implants, crown, bridges, removable and non-removable prosthetics employing state-of-the-art technologies, and…. falling in love with my now fiancé - I found myself living in Venice, CA, and also realized I was the happiest I’ve ever been. And so I decided to stay in Los Angeles!
I currently work in two offices during the week! One in Brentwood, CA for some of the most amazing prosthodontic ladies I know, and one in Encino, CA with Mark Exler, a world-class prosthodontist who has been serving residents of the Valley and surrounding areas for 30+ years. Before landing my feet in these offices, I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Gary Solnit, premier prosthodontist in Beverly Hills. It’s natural for a young prosthodontist like me to have a few homes before buying in to a practice where I hope to build a legacy! In any case:
I’d love to work with you, at whichever office you’d prefer, Encino or Brentwood! If you’re a dentist and need help with a case, I’m happy to share my thoughts with you! I’m compassionate & dedicated to giving high quality care to my patients, and giving your case the TLC it deserves. I’m extremely detail oriented - something you may want from your provider when they’re working on one of the best parts of you - your smile!
I’m happy to take and share stories, food and music recommendations, and to develop a relationship with you while we work together to create the smile you’ve been dreaming of - or just to watch over the smile you currently have!
If you made it through this entire bio, congratulations on your attention span! :) A+.
